Author Guidelines

The Editorial Board welcomes articles and research reports that have never been published previously nor are under consideration for publication elsewhere. The submission guidelines are as follows:

  1. Manuscript is based on research findings or the equivalence on both applied and theoretical aspects on the topic of language, literature, and culture.
  2. The entire manuscript should be written double-spaced in English on A4 paper, 10-20 pages in length (excluding references), and in MS Word Garamond size 12.
  3. Tables and figures (in JPEG or GIFF format) should be set out in separate pages. Number tables and figures and provide captions. Identify where these should appear in the text with an insertion point.
  4. Manuscript must be accompanied by a separate cover sheet. This should contain the author’s name, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, current position (where relevant), and institutions of the author. Note that these details shall not be written in the article itself as to facilitate a double blind-review. Replace name with word 'author' where necessary.
  5. The article should be written in an essay with subheading for each part, except for the introduction.
  6. The theoretical studies should be systematically arranged as follows: (a) title, (b) abstract (150-250 words), (c) keywords (max. 5 words), (d) introduction (with no heading), covering the background and purpose and the scope, (e) discussion, (f) conclusion and suggestion, (g) references.
  7. The empirical studies should be arranged as follows: (a) title, (b) abstract (150-250 words), (c) keywords (max. 5 words), (d) introduction (with no heading), covering review of related literature and research purpose, (e) method (if applicable), (f) results, (g) discussion, (h) conclusion and suggestion, (i) references.
  8. All references cited should be listed alphabetically conforming to APA (American Psychological Association) system.
  9. Articles not conforming to the journal’s writing format and APA style as explained above will be returned to the author(s) for reformatting. Authors may revise and resend the articles after these are written in the accepted format and style.
  10. Authors are advised to upload manuscripts written using standard citation applications (Mendeley/Endnote/Zotero).
